Put research into practice. This CD highlights the "Early Reading First" agenda, as well as components from Pat Cunningham's Building Blocks model for young children at the emergent literacy level. Emphasis is placed on appropriate activities and adaptations to include students with disabilities in the four identified areas. Areas highlighted include: print awareness, language and communication development, phonological awareness, and alphabetic knowledge. This CD is linked directly to content standards in the area of language and literacy.
